How long does refinishing last?
Years of daily use when the surface is prepped properly. The prep is the whole job, which is why a professional refinish behaves nothing like a hardware store kit.
Will it peel like the kits from the store?
Peeling comes from skipped prep. We acid etch and sand the original surface, repair chips and cracks, then spray a two part coating. A brush on kit over a glossy tub is what peels.
How long before I can use it?
About 24 hours. We finish in the afternoon and you shower the next morning.
How long does the work take?
Most jobs are done in around two hours. There is no demolition, so we are in and out the same day.
Can you fix chips, cracks and rust?
Yes. Chips, hairline cracks and surface rust are repaired before the new finish goes on. A tub rusted all the way through is the one case we will tell you to replace it instead.
What colors can I get?
Classic white is standard, and we match off white, bone and almond. Tile can be a different shade than the tub if you want the contrast.
Do you do tile, cabinets and countertops too?
Yes. Wall tile, shower pans, cabinets and countertops all refinish the same way, and doing them together costs less than booking them separately.
Is the smell bad?
There is an odor while we spray. We ventilate the room and it clears within a few hours. Most people step out for the afternoon and come back to it gone.
When do I pay?
After the work is finished and you are satisfied with it. Nothing is due up front.
Do you work in apartments and rentals?
Often. Property managers use refinishing between tenants because the unit is back in service the next day. Tell us how many units and we will price them together.
